Repairing Credit After Bankruptcy - The Best After-Bankruptcy Credit Cards

Your bankruptcy is finalized, and now you’re ready to start rebuilding your credit. The best way to do this is by applying for small amounts of credit first, so you’ll want to get a credit card; however, you don’t know what credit card to choose. This article will explain the best after-bankruptcy credit cards you can get in order to rebuild your credit and stay out of debt:

Secured Credit Cards

The best way to avoid bad debt is to gain credit from your own money. A secured credit card allows you to deposit money into an account and then withdraw it just like you would with a regular credit card. The difference between an unsecured credit card and a secured credit card is that you deposit the amount of money that makes your maximum balance into an account before you begin using it. This means that, if you become unable to pay the bill, you can simply close the account and withdraw the remainder of your balance.

Gas Station/Grocery Store Credit Cards

Gas station and grocery store credit cards are not hard to get approved for; in fact, they’re probably the easiest to get of all unsecured credit cards. The best thing about applying for a grocery store or gas station card is the lowered temptation to make an unnecessary purchase. Most likely, you shop at these places every week and pay with either cash, check, or a debit card. Instead, you can pay with your store credit card, and then, at the end of the month, you can take the money you would have spent at the store and use it to pay down the balance on the card.

Credit Cards Specifically for Rebuilding Credit

Most reputable lenders offer credit cards to borrowers who need to rebuild their credit that are designed specifically for that purpose. You can expect to be charged high interest rates, and you’ll most likely have a low credit limit; however, in turn, the company will report your payments to all three credit monitoring bureaus monthly. Additionally, once you’ve established a good payment history with the company, they’ll likely lower your interest rate and raise your credit limit. Here is a list of recommended Personal Loan Lenders online. It’s important to use a reputable lender online to make sure your personal information is secure.

Before applying for any credit card, do your research. Utilize the internet and compare interest rates and terms. Don’t apply for a card with high interest rates and annual fees if you can get approved for a card with a better interest rate and no annual fee. Pay your bills on time every month. If anything looks worse than a bankruptcy, it’s a bankruptcy followed by bad credit.

Free Couples Relationship Quiz - Part 11 - “Have you Developed a Deeper Connection?” Quiz

Do you want to make sure you and your partner are prepared to have a peaceful, joyous, passionate and loving relationship? This free set of quizzes is designed to give you and your partner powerful questions to ask. If you are willing to take the time to reflect on these questions, discuss them and be honest with yourselves and each other, I believe it can help you on your journey to co-create a magical space so you can be Best Friends during the day, Lovers at night and Partners for life.

Life is an adventure that gives us the incredible opportunity to learn and grow as individuals. I like to say that we do not stop learning or growing until we are 6 feet under. What happens so often is we go through life unaware that we don’t know, what we don’t know. In this fast paced world many of us do not have or take the time to sit, take a deep breath and really think about these kinds of questions. We usually do not reflect and consider the impact the answers to these questions can have on our relationship.

Please take your time to think about each question and be honest when you score yourself. Rate each question from 1 to 10. If you score the question a 10, then you feel like you can answer with a solid YES. If you are not sure then give yourself a 5 and use a 0 if you answer with a definite NO. Of course, you can use any number in between.

Before you start, print this page so it will be available to total with the other parts to this quiz for your “WE”. Place the number to the left of each question and total your score at the end.

Have you Developed a Deeper Connection?

_____ - 1 - Do you know how to mirror each other?

_____ - 2- Do you validate each other?

_____ - 3 - Do you empathize with each other?

_____ - 4 - Do you respect each other?

_____ - 5 - Do you show appreciation for each other?

_____ - 6 - Do you allow your partner to be who they are?

_____ - 7 - Do you acknowledge and champion your partner?

_____ - 8 - Do you give unconditional support?

_____ - 9 - Do you inspire your partner?

_____ - 10 - Is the space between you scared?

_____ - Total Score

Okay, you have 10 questions with a total possible outstanding score of 100. If your total is;

• 80 or higher - You scored in the upper 80% quartile - Congratulations! You have obviously taken the time to do some good work to ensure your relationship has the best chance to be successful. Good Luck!

• 50 - 79 - You scored in the average range - Congratulations! You are now aware of the need to re-read the questions you scored low on and take the time to think what you need to do to raise your score. Be mindful and pay special attention to the relationship until you can score above 80% on the quiz.

• 0 - 49 - You scored in the lower range - Congratulations! You now know where you need to take some time and really examine these areas of your relationship. It would benefit both of you tremendously to seriously think about these questions and commit to each other to do whatever you need to do to be able to change your score.

I hope Part 11 of the “WE” quiz has been enlightening and helpful. When you get a chance, please take Part 12 - “Do you have a Fulfilling Sexual Relationship?” Keep the print out for this quiz so at the end of the series you can get a grand total for the “Questions of “WE”. Please feel free to e-mail me your results if you would like to discuss them.

A FREE guide to making money on the internet

Have you ever wondered how people make money on the internet? Sit back and read on, you are about to learn a little secret here!
The truth is, its not really a secret. Look around the net, there are millions of websites, but how do they do it?

Through what is called Affiliate Marketing! Did you know that you can build a website in about 5 minutes for only a few dollars?

People with websites, then add links to other peoples products on their site, and when people visit their site and click on these links, they get a commision payout if a sale is made.

People around the world are making thousands every month by only spending a few dollars to get a website up and running.

So they build their sites on whatever topic they enjoy (sports, hobbies, music etc.) in a few minutes for only a few dollars, and then don’t even sell their own products.

Millions of people round the world have caught on to this concept. If you are not an affiliate you are missing out on a real opportunity to earn a fantastic living at home!

You can join thousands of affiliate programs for FREE and link them up to the topic on your site. Since discovering this concept, I have decided to build a website devoted to teaching people all about building their own home business like this for FREE! Feel free to visit it at www.homeworker-moneymaker.com

I am sick to death of all the ‘work at home’ scams around and by offering this guide for free I hope to put an end to them all.

Once your site is up and running, you can offer advertising on your site as an additional way of generating income.

Imagine offering to place a classified ad on your site for only $2 a month. Now if 1000 people place ads on your site, thats $2000 a month you get paid for simply putting peoples ads on your site!

Affiliate marketing is the only way to make a serious living at home!

I hope I have educated you today, and that you are now fully aware that you can work at home by only spending a few dollars.

Good luck

Mommas, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Lobbyists

For many years now, I have been the proud holder of jobs that my parents found very difficult to explain to their friends. Now, when a well-meaning acquaintance asks “what does your daughter do?” they try to explain that I help people understand how to communicate with elected officials. Invariably the response is “What? She teaches people how to lobby? Good heavens, she’s not a lobbyist herself, is she?” Apparently, being a lobbyist is right up there with being a convict, especially these days.

But is lobbying really that terrible? Before you utter a resounding “yes”, let’s look at what a lobbyist does. According to that wonderful resource www.dictionary.com, a lobbyist is someone who tries to influence public officials to take one position over another on a particular issue. That doesn’t sound so bad, does it? I’m sure some of you are thinking “well, no, but that doesn’t adequately describe all the terrible things that those lobbyists do in Washington, DC.”

Before we start casting stones, however, consider for a minute that the vast majority of these lobbyists are working on issues that you might actually care about! For example, are you a member of AARP? Do you contribute to the Sierra Club? Do you own a car and have an AAA membership? All of these organizations use funds from their members to hire “lobbyists” in Washington, DC. In fact, you, yes you, might actually be acting as a lobbyist in your daily life. Have you ever called up a city agency to express the need for a stop sign in your neighborhood? Have you signed on to a petition or letter from a professional organization that was then sent to elected officials at the state or federal level? That’s lobbying, my friend, pure and simple.

Yes, I know. That’s different. You’re expressing your views on public policy because you really care about an issue. Those evil lobbyists, however, are paid to express opinions that they don’t necessarily believe. They use all kinds of bribery to get officials on their side. The truth is, some people are paid for this work. Some, like citizen advocates, aren’t. Some employ a number of tools, such as fancy dinners, fundraisers and, as we’ve heard in the news lately, fully-paid trips to exotic locales as part of their lobbying efforts. Some don’t. Some professional lobbyists actually are really terrible people that peddle their influence in as sleazy a manner as possible and are an embarrassment to the profession. The vast majority, however, are people who truly believe in a cause and have found a way to marry their personal interests with their professional life. They are hired to lobby on causes they really care about, from access to health care to city planning to protection of animals.

I’m often asked “what’s the difference between lobbying and advocacy?” To me, it’s a simple matter of the audience. People who are supporters of a particular cause or position are “advocates”. When those people start seeking to influence public officials to take one position over another on those issues, they are “lobbying.” It doesn’t matter whether they are paid or unpaid, whether they are in DC or “outside the beltway”, or even whether they are sleazy or not: when one person seeks to influence another, that’s lobbying. We can condemn the tactics and strategies they use, but let’s not condemn the entire practice.

Really, if you think about it, there’s no escaping lobbying. In fact, it could probably be considered the world’s oldest profession. I know that some people honor another profession with that title, but if you adhere to the whole “Adam-and-Eve-in-the-garden-with-the-snake” perspective on the world, what was the snake but a very highly successful lobbyist? I’m sure he made all kinds of claims to Eve about the wholesomeness of apples and the general benefits that could be expected from apple eating. Perhaps he was evil - or perhaps he was just trying to get a little peace and quiet in the garden.

And in answer to the question that my parents always wrestle with - no, I am not a professional lobbyist, although I do occasionally “lobby” on a personal level. But I wouldn’t be ashamed to admit that I was.

Stephanie Vance, an ex-lobbyist and ex-chief of staff, believes that government isn’t broken; you just need to work the system to beat the odds. She currenlty travels the country presenting entertaining and informative workshops to help advocates navigate the legislative system and make an impact with their elected officials. Top 5 Reasons To Go Wireless

Wireless networking is 1 of the greatest new computer technologies in terms of convenience. If you’re weighing the pros and cons of wireless before taking the leap, here are 5 to put in the “pro” column.

#1: No More Wires

Of all the reasons to switch your network to wireless, this is perhaps the most important. Wires are inconvenient, expensive, dangerous, and downright ugly.

No more wires across the floor improves the safety of your home, since it’s easy to trip over exposed wires.

The average Ethernet wire doesn’t cost much per foot, but it adds up quickly. To run wires between rooms or floors, you have to knock holes in the walls, which might not even be an option for renters.

Plus when you move you don’t have the mess of disconnecting all the wires only to re-connect them at the other end. Nor do you have to examine every wire for damage if your internet connection goes down.

#2: Internet Access For All

Wireless networking gives you a cheap, easy way to share 1 internet connection among multiple computers. You can add new computers to your network simply by plugging in a wireless card and switching them on — they get an internet connection immediately!

#3: Share Files And Printers

A wireless network gives you access to your files wherever you are, and makes it easy to synchronize the data of a laptop and a desktop computer. It’s much easier to send files between computers with a wireless network than by email, or CD.

Plus, with the printer connected, you can also write things wherever you happen to be, press print, and go collect them from a printer connected to another computer. Printers plugged into 1 of the network’s computers are shared by all the computers automatically.

#4: Always ON

Broadband revolutionized networking with internet connections being continuously connected — no need to dial in every time. Wireless networking lets network connections be always-on, so any of your computers can connect to the internet whenever you want. Take laptops from room to room or out on the deck — they’ll have an internet connection. Plus, there’s no need for excessive password entry.

#5: Freedom!

With wireless networking, you can even take your computer wherever the signal reaches. Going wireless is much like the switching from the old fashioned wall-mounted telephone to a cellular phone. The freedom is exhilarating.

Online Dating: Creating the Perfect Online Profile

Online dating has reached such levels of popularity that it is now becoming more acceptable than it used to. In fact, due to the innumerable stories about successful relationships that started off as an online partnership, people are turning to this alternative way of looking for a partner. Whether you are new to the idea or you’ve been online for years, one key to online dating success is your profile. Online, you are what your profile says. In short, everything you are is summed up in one page on the Internet.

The first way to create a stand out profile is to come up with a catchy profile headline and screen name. This is usually what people see first. So put all you have into writing an attention grabber. However, avoid being a copy cat. Instead, be original. This will also serve you well in the long run. If you show something of the real you, then there is no need to pretend at any point in the relationship. Before writing that headline, think long and hard about how you perceive yourself and how your friends see you. Try to remember what they say are your best qualities. Choose the ones you agree with, and then write them down. Do not ramble on and on. Decide what you want to say and say it. Lastly, be fresh and positive. Exude a vibrant aura and you will attract people to your profile. As for your screen name, the same thing applies. Be positive and unique. It may take you a little while to come up with something but it will be worth your effort.

To put a photo or not? That is the question. Some people prefer not to place their pictures on the net. The rationale is this: it shouldn’t matter what I look like, other people should like me for who I am. That is well and good. However, online dating websites testify to the fact that people who include a flattering photo in their profiles get responses 8 times more than those who do not. If you want to get more responses, then have a picture taken - from your most flattering angle - and include it in your profile.

Emphasize your unique traits. What makes you different? Help the other person understand you a little bit. Be detailed just to the point of avoiding vagueness. A little caution should be exercised here. It is fine for you to give some personal information but refrain from being too personal. It is not a good idea to vent out your problems and issues you are dealing with.

Make your expectations clear. What do you really want out of a relationship? Is this just a fling or something more stable? Mention what the other person can expect from you as well. Talk about your hobbies and things that you like to do with your partner. This way, the unsuitable candidates will not waste time - yours and his/hers.

All throughout the profile writing process bear in mind two things: honesty and originality. These will get you a long way.

Doctor Clinics

Doctor clinics are small medical facilities that provide treatment for patients and are operated privately or as part of government hospitals. Doctor clinics or outpatient clinics do not deal with cases that require overnight stays. There are general care clinics, as well as specialty clinics that treat diseases like cancer, weight loss, maternity, and so on.

There are also clinics in low income or remote areas that provide care for the uninsured, underinsured, unemployed, working poor and others. They include medical care, as well as eye examinations, prescription glasses, dental care, skin cancer screenings and biopsies, ultrasounds, pap smears, mammograms and other medical care. The clinics are generally run by a volunteer group of physicians, nurses, etc.

Finally, there are walk-in clinics for those who don’t want to go to an emergency room or hospital. These clinics provide treatment for flu-like systems, minor injuries, etc. They also provide blood-pressure checks, cholesterol testing, and flu shots. If extensive medical treatment is required, the clinic will provide a referral.

Many walk-in clinics also exist. You can visit these without an appointment, but you may have to wait in long lines to get care. If time is of the essence, these clinics may the solution for you. You will get best results if you check into a clinic that specializes in whatever ailment or health issue for which you need attention. These doctor clinics can operate on a sliding scale fee system, or they can be on the pricier end. Call around and find out what is the best solution for you.

Five Simple Tips for Saving

1. Track your spending. Take the time to keep note of your spending habits for one whole week. Take note of every dollar you spend - coffees, train tickets, everything. This will allow you to see where your money is going, and where you might be able to change your spending habits to save more money.

2. Make a REALISTIC budget, and stick to it. If you find that you are blowing your budget regularly, track your spending for a while and find out why. The budget might be inaccurate or you are overspending somewhere. Once you know, you can adjust either the budget or your spending.

3. Lower your credit card balances and keep a limited number of cards. Pay off the balances every month if possible. If not, just pay them off as quickly as possible - forget saving money until you have zero balances on your credit cards. Its pointless to earn 5% interest on savings, but be paying 18% on credit debt.

4. Use direct transfers from your bank account to put away cash into another account that you don’t use for transactions. If you are paid a salary, have the transfer scheduled on the day or the day after you are paid. If you’re a contractor or business owner, try committing a small percentage of each customer payment, such as 5%, into this other account. To begin with, put away a small amount - that won’t hurt. After a while, if you are managing to successfully run your living/operating budget without this money, then you can think about increasing the amount.

5. When thinking about making a purchase, ask yourself, “Is this a want or a need?” If it’s a “want”, then consider putting money away especially for this purchase, and only buy when you have saved enough. Avoid impulse buys - walk out of the shop and give yourself a day to think about the purchase. If you still want it, then save!

The Quickest Order Is Not Always The Best Order

The quickest order (but usually not the best) is a market order. This is an order to buy or sell at the current bid(buy) / ask(sell). Market orders are filled according to the time they reach the exchange. A 9:32 market order on XXXX stock will be filled before a 9:33 market order on XXXX.

Nasdaq stocks are all bought and sold electronically. That is,
when an order is placed to buy or sell a stock it is immediately matched up with the best priced Market Maker or ECN Electronic Communication Network).

The New York Stock Exchange is a specialists exchange. That is, your order goes to an individual on the floor of the NYSE. It is his job to maintain order and liquidity in the stock he specializes in AND put money in his pocket (they never tell you that).

Now here comes the problem for little online stock buyer…YOU.

You see stock XXXX trading at $50 so you call your broker or click on your buy button at your online account for a market order to buy XXXX at $50 for 200 shares and boom, your confirmed at 50.18 or even worse.

What happened? You just paid full Retail for the stock. Extra $36 bucks right out of YOUR pocket. The price was actually 50 bid and 50.18 ask on XXXX stock. You seen $50 on your quote “streamer” but you placed a market order to buy. And where do you buy…that’s right from the best priced seller(ask), which in this case is $50.18

Can you imagine what happens when your order is placed in “the hand” of someone on the NYSE floor? Lets just say he is not looking out for your best interest.

Now if you had used a LIMIT order to buy 200 shares of XXXX at
50.01, guess what. Yep, your order is placed as the best BID
(50.01 is better than 50) and the first rookie trader that comes along and places a market order to sell his XXXX stock is boom…confirmed at your best bid (50.01) when he could have gotten a higher sales price.

Get the picture, now your taking the money instead of giving it.
You could have also used a stop buy, a stop sell, a stop limit buy or a stop limit sell. If you ever buy or sell a stock you need to at least know the basics.
