Iyaz has made public that he’s enthusiastic to help Cheryl Cole crack the US market. The 22-year-old, who reached number 2 in America with debut single Replay, admitted that he has heard positive feedback about the Girls out loud star.
“I have no idea too much about Cheryl’s music. I hear she is extremely gifted and awfully beautiful,” he said to the Daily Star. “I would like to meet her while I am in London.
Then when she’s over in LA I will introduce her to all my music biz friends.” the vocalist, who is from the UK Virgin Islands, went on to thank fans for giving him his first UK number one.
“I need to thank everybody for supporting me in the United Kingdom and purchasing ‘Replay’ - it implies so much,” he announced. “I promise if you continue supporting me that I am going to keep on making good, quality music you’ll adore. “Every day could bring another gigantic single, another massive track, so I am keeping on being creative.” The Virgin Islands-born kid mixes rap, pop and reggae to make the fresh sound which has been produced by JR Rotem, 35, the person behind hits for Rihanna, twenty-one, and Pussycat Dolls. Sadly for the fella his one fear about visiting us in Blighty was becoming caught in cold weather conditions. And he could not have flown in at a worse time.
